    Apt electrolysis

Ok I have had my Dish up since August 2008 and this is what my sat dish looks like. I am thinking it is the bolts/nuts mixed with the Hawaii's heavy mineral water. Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? Right now I unplugged my receiver from power and took the dish off the...

    Use of slimline in Hawaii

69Mustang, I am on Oahu, in Honolulu. George to answer your question yes. What I was referring to is the number of people that cannot set up a 1.2m dish for space reasons and such. Plus D* will only send out the 1.2m they will not give you the option of a smaller dish. The techs tell me that 90%...

    Tuning tilt past 140?

Yea in Hawaii we have an azimuth of 104 23 elevation and 155 tilt. At least that what the receiver gives me for a number when I put in my Lat. and Long. To answer my own question I needed to rotate the bolt positions on the tilt one section clockwise. I made a cardboard wheel and ticked off...

Well since directv said the only dish you can use is the 1.2 meter dish in Hawaii I guess this is cutting edge. I am currently using the newest slimline, I purchased the dish online since D* would not send me it, and get decent to great reception. I have yet to get pixelation. My reception is...

I am new to D* tv. Can I get the slimline 5 running in Hawaii? I talked to an installer and he said that you get 70+ reception but that was off the record. Anyone have any other info about the types of dishes you can use in Hawaii?
