Right now, NewEgg has the H20 receiver for $89.00 (plus ship). There's no mention anywhere of this being a lease. If I pluck down the $89 bucks for this, I'm not really buying it??

Wm, It seems as I read the different Tivo DBS forums, more and more folks have freeze ups. It includes me as well. I initially thought it was the 'e' version of the Tivo upgrade. It turns out it was my HD. I swapped it with a new Maxtor and have not had one freeze up since. My freeze ups...

Reliability is a big question with RCA TVs. Consumer reports say they (RCA) are much worse than average. Spend your $$ elsewhere.

IMHO, there is a big difference in PQ. DISH's is washed out.. faded. DirecTV is much sharper and the colors are vibrant.

I bought the 46L500 (NO DVD Player) for $1150 (plus tax). I am extremely pleased with this set. Excellent pq on SD channels and the HD stuff is wow! Hitachi is rated excellent regarding repairs. What's the price difference?

Sounds like you have the same issue as the folks in Philly. Your sports channel must be on the satellite.

It will allow any cable or OTA signal to pass through. I do it every night because my wife wants to see our local weather channel only on cable.

Sounds like it's your Tivo. I have my Philips for about five weeks and it's never re-booted.
