"Warning 981" message - Two days in a row

My buddy had the 981 error on his 722. He replaced the hard drive and it fixed it. Part of the download must need to write to a sector on the HDD and if that sector is bad....981.

Moving from BEV to Shaw this summer and appreciate your input

I can say this from experience - avoid the 630. It is JUNK. I cancelled my sub to Shaw Direct because of it.

Check card info hacked or stolen

I was using a check card to autopay my Dish Network bill. They are the ONLY retailer that has the number. I have never used the card for any other purchase with any other company. So someone at Dish stole the info or their server was hacked. My guess is the former. My bank is conducting...

I like watching Erica Ehm back in the day on Much. Last time I looked, Much was all rap garbage.

Why am I being told the 722 and 722k are the same thing?

Agreed jpmarto. The 722 is better than the 722k in my opinion. I had a k (Made in China) and it was as slow as molasses. Switched to a 722 (Made in Mexico) and it is lightning fast. The only advantage to the k is the two OTA tuner feature if you buy the module. In my opinion of course...

    722 vs 612

I have a 722 and a 612. Note my 722 is not the k version. I had the k but the guide was too slow and I sold it. My 612 works pretty well flawlessly. My 722 is the same and it has TV2 an PiP as mentioned. I would vote the 722 as the best Dish receiver right now. The 612 would come in second.

    Is there a 612c receiver?

The c stands for castrated. It will be the same as Bell's 9241. :)

Any networks available CONUS in Florida?

I am trying to avoid having to call every time I travel back and forth from Tampa to NY. OTA is not an option.

Any networks available CONUS in Florida?

Looks like the best selection on 61.5 is Pittsburgh for CONUS? I want maximum HD locals. Could care less about SD.

Any networks available CONUS in Florida?

Thanks Ice. Looks like no Florida locals CONUS. I am trying to keep my service and billing address the same, in answer to boba's question - yet still receive locals CONUS.

Any networks available CONUS in Florida?

Just bought a vacation place there and I am hoping I can get ABC, CBS etc CONUS? Assuming my service address is there of course (Tampa area). Or am I SOL? And no, I don't want spotbeam locals.

No Go Shaw Direct on 100cm dish

Sorry Othea, I assumed the 100cm dish only had one LNB. Never assume they say - for good reason.

No Go Shaw Direct on 100cm dish

The dish has two LNBs? What type?
  18. P

No Go Shaw Direct on 100cm dish

You need the oval dish with the quad LNB. The 60E or 75E dish. Or you need two dishes and a switch.

How do I make a 6.3 Remote work with the IR to UHF Pro kit?

The IR to UHF Pro Adapter Kit from Dish (p/n 137682) comes with a 10.1 UHF Pro remote. How do I get it to recognize a 6.2 or 6.3 UHF remote?
