Kijiji, eBay, and Craigslist dishes for you to take a look at

one odd looking Chaparral hybrid C and KU orthomode feedhorn. (has 2 regular c-band lnbs ortho-style and 1 cylinder-type ku lnb that's laying down, but sort of fits down through the middle with a tube, and the ku lnb has a servo for polarity.) I know I've seen one of these in a Pendragon mod thread, so I'll have to look that up. Anybody know anything about these particular feeds?

I have seen pictures here: http://s893.photobucket.com/user/1-...3&page=1&_suid=138125274146906068832683132147

So a Bullseye 1 it is!

Yep, that's the one. I wonder now if the servo can be pulled off (I don't want to mess with a servo, though maybe I can just use the c-band side, and forgot ku exists on this as the simplest solution), and that cylinder waveguide be changed to mount TWO ku lnbs for H and V, and make the whole thing true full orthomode for both c and ku?

That's two complete Winegard Pinnacles loaded in that 4x8 trailer. They stayed real nice for the whole drive back. There is NO rib frame for these dishes, the panels are such thick metal, and they interlock and bolt together and are self-supporting

I don't see the "inclined orbit" part, and have no advice on Perfect 10's.
?But it does look like a nice dish, and Ajak 180's are very desirable! :) :up

That probably means there's a linear jack mounted in place of the elevation threaded bolt. If you were commenting on my pics above, that is NOT that dish from Ohio (that said it had an inclined orbit kit) I posted back a page or so. This is from the Ebay auction that was posted in this thread quite a few pages back.

Only the nosecones are stamped "Perfect 10", the dishes aren't Perfect 10's they are Winegards.

How do you identify whether a Winegard dish is a Pinnacle or not? :confused: I've got a Winegard 10 footer but don't know what it is other than that. It was installed around 1992 and replaced one that was originally installed in 1988. Storm brought a tree limb down on that one and my insurance paid for a new one, hence the 1992 model.

FYI on the Winegard polar mount types. If yours has the declination adjustment stuff on that top pivot mount you might want to check it very closely to see if it's loose like mine was. The upper dish pivot bushing mount/declination setting piece is crap. They put a punched hole in those pieces that is way too loose. I remade mine and reamed that upper ,750 dia mount hole and it's much more stable now. I also added some thick flat washers on either side of that declination adjustment bracket to help stabilize that mount. It's piss poor engineering IMHO. I like the arrangement they used on the Unimesh as it seems to be much better.

Prime - sorry, I was a page out of synch, and really should have quoted what I was commenting on...especially since it turned out to be on a previous page. :)

Score big time :up

The Pinnacle ;

See, those types of pics just do NOT do that dish justice. IF that reflector was sitting on the ground like a bowl of cereal, and you were standing back looking at it side-on, you could put a husky dog in there and hardly even see him over the rim!

That dish is OVER 2.5 FEET deep!
