I would say: bm is bookmarks, tsp - transport stream packets, wtt - time stamps or offsets of I-frames.
Regarding the off-by-one partitioning error: what if Dish did it that way on purpose to make it harder for Linux boxes to be able to view the contents of the external drives? The 211's code would "know" that the drive was really one block smaller than what was entered into the partition table.
EHD = a disc, so the transfer is already happened.
Have you actually done this? When my 211 cold booted, it erased all the events I had copied over, except for the ones that were in the catalog. I can see one of two things happening if the 211 doesn't find the Catalog file: it rebuilds it based on the .bm/.tsp/.wtt files, or it figures someone or something has corrupted the disk and repairs the damage by a) building a new empty catalog which will result in the orphaned events getting deleted, or b) re-formatting the drive.Just rename catalog.* to something different and give the system cold reboot to rebuild it;
it should pickup all your recordings and create new catalog.
I can't get over how small the 211k/WD 750GB set up is. Very nice. I think I'll swap the 622 (leased for 2.5 years now) out for a purchased 222k when the EHD feature is enabled. The 622 has been essentially trouble free, but I can't imagine that will last forever given the heat it generates.
