    questions about TBS6902

Thank you Titanium. Now, a question. How can a computer -- (since computer power supplies have 12V) -- supply 18V to an LNB?

    questions about TBS6902

Doesn't Kaffeine scan? Except I have to code in all the TPs. There is a scan app from one of the users but I never installed it because I'd need to build his kernel and that failed for me.

    questions about TBS6902

With the DiSEqC switch I would then use my Kaffeine app and change tuner, right? Does a DiDEqC switch send power thru all ports so that both my LNBs will get power? I've tried the configuration you mention with the splitters before. I original did it with an FTA set-top box and it worked...

    questions about TBS6902

It says it has two tuners. The card appears to have two connectors. Are they BOTH for LNB in? So one could be a KU LNB and the other a C LNB? Does this card provide power to the LNB? And if I have two LNBs input, one to each connector, does it power BOTH LNBs? Is there a LINUX driver? I would...

OK, I used your tune-s2 tool and here's what I got. It shows tuning status as unlocked. I wonder if you can explain what's going on? I specified an S2 system and it returned DVB-S. I specified 8PSK and it returned QPSK. I really don't know what rolloff, pilot and MIS are, but I didn't know...

    need help slaving an S2-FTA (TBS6925) to 4DTV (DSR-922)

I checked the Sky Star and it doesn't say it works in Linux. I'd like to run in Linux. Your drivers are in your software? Which of your software?

    need help slaving an S2-FTA (TBS6925) to 4DTV (DSR-922)

For now, the reason I use the splitters is because there are some clear digital channels on C-band SatMex 8 on the DSR-922, so I can verify my C-band lnb works. I haven't found clear Ku-band channels (yet) for my DSR-922 to verify the KU-band lnb works. Once I get both my lnbs working I'll...

    need help slaving an S2-FTA (TBS6925) to 4DTV (DSR-922)

Hardware-wise I described as above: The c-band and Ku-band come in on two different co-axs from two different PLL LNBs that share a feedhorn on a 10' dish. I use a DSR-922 to move the dish and control the polarity. Both co-axes go into hi-freq splitters with DC-block on one side (goes to a...

    need help slaving an S2-FTA (TBS6925) to 4DTV (DSR-922)

Can anyone suggest a better card? It was tuning S2 on C-band just fine. It could not tune KU-band. I switched things up and put a signal strength meter in-line with the Ku and plugged the Ku directly in to the card, not using splitters or a switch, and the C-band was still on the splitter and...

    Running wscan-s2 gives confusing results. Remember, I am using the DSR-922 to control the polarator. I ran this and see why I get confused? dad@Dad-Stubuntu:~$/home/dad/Downloads/blindscan-s2-master/blindscan-s2 -b -s 11737 -e 11737 -r 8333 -V -d 5 -l 10750 -v Tuning LBAND: 987 11737 V 8333...

Yes, a low-cost in-line meter The meter is low cost and in-line. It beeps when a scan is in process, and a red light comes on when the card sends the 22khz. If I've got the right LOF (10750) and I get a signal but no SNR > 0%, but the card can tune my C-band LNB OK, does that mean the...

    need help slaving an S2-FTA (TBS6925) to 4DTV (DSR-922)

ke4est, Please explain I don't understand your question. I have a coax from a KU-band lnb plugged into a signal strength meter, and from there I have a coax connecting the meter to the TBS6925. The meter shows a very good signal from the lnb. Software shows a signal from the lnb...

    need help slaving an S2-FTA (TBS6925) to 4DTV (DSR-922)

KU-LNB It is a legacy lnb, not lnbf. It shares the feedhorn with the c-band lnb. It has its own coax coming into the house, so there are TWO coax coming in from the dish. I will go to the dish, remove the feedhorn cover, (hopefully no wasps in there!!!) and double-check the specs. But I...
