    EchoStar 15 has departed 61.5W and is on the way to 119W Presently ~50 km above geostationary, at ~64W and moving west at ~0.5 degrees per day. This indicates arrival at 119W around the middle of August

    Only Echostar knows the status of their satellites. Some of the satellites are getting "old" and maybe they are initiating contingency plans to address the possible loss of a satellite in the next few years (or sooner). So it could be next year. ----- or not

    They say for 110w but that does not mean much. They can change at the last minute. And, capabilities will not be known until they file for launch.

    They are scratching to save every dollar they can and the double arc system is facing upgrade costs for satellites. I'm thinking they were counting on the Directv deal to consolidate and reduce costs and keep thing stable ,. Now, they are putting their limited cash into the wireless business...

    Echostar 14 at 119w has both spot and conus coverage. The Echostar 15 move can replace the conus coverage of E14. No new bandwidth can be added.

    Did a linear projection of customer base starting about two years ago . If things continue at the rate of customer losses over this period - they will be at around 3 million customers in the spring of 2027.
