    Getting into HAM in 2024?

I put up a 1/4 wave vertical for 20m this weekend, just 16 ish feet of 1 inch EMT insulated with 1 1/4" sch 80 pvc pipe stuck in the ground, 4 16 ish ft wire radials across the ground. If it's still there I'll post a picture.....

    Getting into HAM in 2024?

I'm thinking about cobbling a vertical together as I have a bunch of 1" emt conduit and 14 ga wire. Are you guys using a 4:1 un un on your rigs? My tuner has a built in 4:1 balun but that's for ladder line

    1.2 Meter Commercial Dish

I've had this for a while, played with it a bit over the summer, but i am finally getting around to really dialing it in on 99w. It fit on a 3" post that I used for the button hook dish, the feed was set up for a transmitter and a normal Ku LNB, transmitter is long gone but the larger NJRC LNB...

Any one not getting the Weigel channels?

You would think that would be a win for her. A 1.2 Prodelin ain't that big/ugly compared to an 8-10ft dish lol I have a 1.2 meter post office Ku dish to fool around with this weekend. I had the blessing from the post master to dismantle it so no felony.

Using analog reciever to move dish, but another to recieve?

Also the GT media receiver will power the LNBs as long as they're hooked to the gt media receiver directly or through a Disecq/22khz switch, you'll want to use the analog receiver as a stand alone just hooked to the actuator/co rotor. The Primesat box will also pass thru power/signal to the LNBs...

Using analog reciever to move dish, but another to recieve?

Yeah you can run your C and Ku feeds into a Disecq switch or 22khz switch and set up the receiver to switch the switch. Those primesat movers don't have a polarity switcher for the co rotor. So you'll need your analog receiver to do that. I'd just use the analog receiver to move the dish and...

    10 ft Unimesh Grab

M6 x 1.0..... I got it up and kinda just eyeball'd azimuth, elevation and declination left as is. Got 101w pretty easy. My coax cables are barely long enough so I'm not trying anything too far east or west. Good enough for now. If the suspension work on the Subaru goes OK then I might optimize...

    10 ft Unimesh Grab

Anyone know what size the threads are on the scalar ring that comes with the Titanium LNBFs? Seems like M6 x something..... I put the reflector together tonight but ran outta daylight. The chaparral feed that came with this is part of the scalar ring and I plan on using the LNBF. I did get the...

    10 ft Unimesh Grab

Been a while, but I found a 10 footer on my local CL last week. Took a trip to the east mountains (ABQ) yesterday to dismantle/pick up. Thankfully my Tommy Gate on the truck waited until I got home to crap the bed 😂 the dish came with a Chaparral corotor setup and echostar lnb and I tested the...
