DISH Introduces Flex Pack

They told me I had to check (sign) this, then had to call back to get the $5 autopay discount. Since it's valid 24 months after signing, I don't plan on signing until a day or two before the expire date, or maybe Oct 1st.

2-YEAR TV PRICE GUARANTEE PROMOTION
Terms of Commitment
You acknowledge and agree that you are entering into a new twenty-four (24) month term commitment that will begin on the date on which you accept this offer by checking the “I accept” box below and that will end twenty-four (24) months later.

Early Termination Fee
In the event that, prior to the end of your new twenty-four (24) month term commitment: your DISH service is disconnected for ANY REASON (for example, and without limitation, if you cancel your DISH service because you move to a location where you cannot receive your DISH service), and in either case, all programming and other prices, fees and charges for your new twenty-four (24) month term commitment have not yet been paid in full, then you agree to pay, and DISH will automatically charge, an early termination fee to your DISH account or your Qualifying Card (as defined in your Promotion Agreement), if any, at DISH’s option. The early termination fee will be prorated by multiplying $10 by the number of months remaining in your new twenty-four (24) month term commitment. The maximum early termination fee is $240.

2-Year TV Price Guarantee
Notwithstanding any terms and conditions of your Promotion Agreement and/or the Residential Customer Agreement to the contrary, because you have agreed to participate in DISH’s 2-Year TV Price Guarantee promotion, DISH will not change, at any time during your Price Guarantee Period (as defined below) the price that you pay for the qualifying programming package set forth below (your “Price Guarantee Programming Package”).
Programming Package
Monthly Savings
Flex Pack $34.99
America's Top 120+ $59.99
America's Top 200 $69.99
America's Top 250 $79.99
Latino Plus $39.99
Latino Dos $54.99
Latino Max $64.99

Your “Price Guarantee Period” is the twenty-four (24) month period immediately following the date on which you accept this offer by checking the “I accept” box below. DISH will not extend your Price Guarantee Period for any reason. Upon the expiration of your Price Guarantee Period, you will pay the then-current price for your programming package.

In the event that you participate in DISH Pause, or any other program that allows you to temporarily suspend your DISH service, then you will no longer be eligible to participate in DISH’s 2-Year TV Price Guarantee promotion and you will pay the then-current price for your programming package.

DISH’s 2-Year TV Price Guarantee applies solely to your Price Guarantee Programming Package in connection with the programming you selected upon your acceptance of this offer by checking the “I accept” box below. In the event that you change your Price Guarantee Programming Package to any other programming package (including, without limitation, another programming package that qualifies for DISH’s 2-Year TV Price Guarantee promotion) following the date on which you accept this offer by checking the “I accept” box below, then you will pay the then-current price of such other programming package.
Miscellaneous
Any terms used, but not defined, in this notice have the meanings ascribed to them in your Promotion Agreement and the Residential Customer Agreement. Except as expressly set forth above in this notice, all terms and conditions of your Promotion Agreement and the Residential Customer Agreement remain in full force and effect. This offer is valid from 8/4/16 to 10/26/16 only; provided that DISH may rescind this offer at any time prior to your acceptance of this offer by checking the “I accept” box below.

You have 30 days from the day you sign up for Renewal offer to accept it via mydish.com, or the offer would be removed from your account. This should have been explained to you when you were signed up for the offer. There is no need to call back to get the autopay credit. It will automatically apply once you accept the agreement online.

Randall, does the price lock offer really expire on October 26? If so, is there any way to use up my credits before then so I can qualify for the offer?

We currently do not have an expiration date listed with the information we have about the The Renewal Offer. That date listed is the date provided to accept the agreement or the offer is removed. It is more than 30 days, but it probably is the end date of their specific billing cycle for the following month.

Yeah, they didn't mention that. The verbage in the offer says "This offer is valid from 8/4/16 to 10/26/16 only", so I assumed I had until 10/26. I'll sign 10/1 to be safe.

Yes, you should be able to get that, but you need to switch to Flex Pack first. The autopay discount is not available with Welcome Pack. :(
The autopay $5 per month credit for 24 months does not require a contract, but you do not get the two-year price lock without the contract.
Try calling the Loyalty Department if a regular CSR will not let you get this deal.

I've seen you post that a couple of times. As others here have reported that isn't the case. There are exceptions to everything but generally you must sign a two year contract to get the Autopay deal. As the DIRT member posted previously you have a very different situation in that you are using credits up at the moment.

I did not want to sign up for anymore contracts as I am still considering going with streaming service and dropping Dish. Sling TV and PS Vue still need to bake a little more in my opinion, but they are getting close.

I noticed that the sports alternate channels (for example Big Ten Network and Big Ten Network alternate) are not included in the flex pack national action and regional action add on packages. I have never seen the alternate channels split from the main sports channels before. Can someone who has those channels explain how that works?

Which part of that is not the case? Re-read posts 488 through 492.

Read post #498 that i posted, and that DIRT liked. After your credits are over I believe you would either have the Flex package at $34.99 or be offered the two year deal for $29.99. It is possible there is some twist I do not know after running out of credits that allows you to continue with no contract at $29.99. But for almost everyone it appears you need to sign the two year deal as is said just above in post #543 by DIRT. I can't say there are no exceptions but certainly that is what most need to do.

That's exactly what I had to do - call or ask to speak to the loyalty Dept. They didn't give me any problems about the $5 discount.

Recent posts aside, worked with Speedy and got switched to Flex plus locals today, not only added TCM, BBCWN, but HDnet Movies which have always liked to have on the side, to boot. And was assured, that if and when the H3 OTA problems get resolved, I will be able to upgrade for free, though I really doubt I will ever want to at this point. The two of us, sixteen tuners? Not necessary.
Happy camper here!

I changed to flex plus news pack from the welcome pack. I chatted online with two reps who knew nothing about the autopay credit, I was told to call and talk to a "account specialist". I called this afternoon and the rep I spoke to didn't know anything about it either but he was going to see what he could do for me since I am a "valued customer". He gave me $10 off for 6 mo as long as I maintain my current pack. No contract or autopay required. I am good with that.

will the loyalty dept. work with you and give the auto pay discount even if you still have credits going? what is their number?
