The Pacers will sign Jasikevicius. Those of you who watched the Euroleague finals on WorldSportHD must remember him. Besically, he was D' MAN. He took charge on the finals to get Maccabi Tel Aviv to the championship. Check out this video clip:

Also, while playing for Lithuania, he "killed" our US Dream Team during the last Athens Olympics scoring 4 3-pointers on the last 4 minutes of the game!!! Here is a video clip of that:

With this acquisition plus Ron Artest returning from suspension the Pacers are definevely a championship contender next season.

the nba is really going after the players from europe. kind of sad we are not number one in BB anymore.
I think we still have the best players; however, not the best team. Creating a "team" takes a lot of effort and our players don't feel like practicing after the long NBA season is over. Countries like Lithuania and Argentina also have many players who play on the NBA and then go and represent their countries on international competitions. However, these players have been playing together since they were 16 or 17 years old and they don't need to practice as team.
The next international competition is the Pre-World championship and what are our plans? Send US-born players who play in Europe  :shocked
What I think we need to do on these international competitions is simply send a complete NBA team, perhaps one of the top four. Of course, we need to choose a team that doesn't have many international stars because if we were to choose a team like the Spurs, we would be left with the bench players :D

Another Euroleague player headed to the NBA (and another international player for the Spurs): The Spurs just signed Fabricio Oberto (from Tau Ceramica). He's also the center of the Argentina olympic team that won the gold medal in Athens.

Basketball or Kung Fu?

Is Shaq worth 20million per year?
