Zinwell 6x16 Multiswitch

Can I use the 6x16 Zinwell with my 3lnb oval dish? I was looking to pre-wire my home now in anticipation of getting the AT-9 dish in the future. TIA

I don't see why not, so as long as its cascadable, and I'm sure that one is.

FYI... as of a week ago, the 6x16 switch was not "approved" by DirecTV for usage on their systems yet.

Not sure if that has changed yet.

Will it really matter if it is "Approved" or not? If it works, it works.

Correct! "approved" is just a paid marketing partnership; doesn't necessarily mean better, even though Zinwell does make good products.

But, if Zinwell wants to remain as an autorized vendor and creator of parts for DirecTV.... It probably wouldn't be in their best intrest to ruffle feathers.

"Authorized" could be a simple as DirecTV has tested the switches and says it will work...
