I grew up in the 60s and the hanna Barbera people dominated Saturday morning animation back then. The Flintstones and yogi were nmy favorited from their offerings but I remeber the Jetsons, Top Cat, Touche Turtle, Snagglepuss, Lippy the Lion and heaven only knows how many more.

The Flintstones, Jetsons, and Top Cat were all prime time. I thought it was great having cartoons at night. :)

Believe it or not, the Flintstones was the 1st American TV show to put a married couple in the same bed. Guess who the couple was? Yep, Fred and Wilma were the 1st couple in the same bed on an American TV show.
R.I.P. Joe Barbera!

Well if I am going to be corrected (and rightly so) on what time of day the jetsons we re on I will mention that accoding to snopes.com there wasa at least one (perhaps two) series showinga double bed fora couple before the Flintstones.

of course since the flintstones were set in the stone age maybe we need to give them at least an honorable mention.

Those were some of the best cartoons on TV and had some of the best backround music of any cartoon.

I still find myself watching the Flintstones, Top Cat and Yogi. Great TV.

I see my puppy chasing a rope on the hardwood floor, with his legs pumping but going nowhere, and I hear that Hanna-Barbera scramble sound in my head. :D
