CEVA’s Advanced Enterprise Serial ATA IP interface enables XStreamHD process up to four full HD video streams simultaneously from disk

[(NASDAQ: CEVA); (LSE: CVA)], a leading licensor of silicon intellectual property (SIP) platform solutions and DSP cores for mobile handsets, consumer electronics and storage applications, today announced that XStreamHD, a leader in delivery and distribution of Full High Definition entertainment to the home, has licensed and deployed CEVA’s latest generation Enterprise SATA Intellectual Property (IP) for the revolutionary XStreamHD HD Media Server. XStreamHD is leading the Full HD revolution with the first transport network to bring 1080p video and 7.1 channels of lossless audio directly to the home via satellite. CEVA’s Enterprise SATA Protocol and PHY interface deployed by XStreamHD in the HD Media Server enables the viewing/recording of up to four simultaneous 1080p resolution MPEG-2/4 or H.264 HD video streams with 7.1 channels of DTS-HD audio from disk.
Leveraging years of experience in developing industry-leading SATA technology, CEVA’s advanced Enterprise SATA solution with Native Command Queuing (NCQ) acceleration substantially reduces software overhead and is ideal for high bandwidth applications such as serving high definition video and audio.
