I've never even finished a Fallout game and I'm super excited for this. No matter what else is shown at E3 this is pretty much a lock to be my most anticipated game.

I played a lot of New Vegas when it first came out but I was in college and things came up so I never had time to actually finish it. The summer before PS4/Xbox One launched I finally tried to play Fallout 3 on my 360 but Gamestop started running a double trade in promotion so I traded the dying console and most of my games in.

I have both games' GOTY editions on PC but I don't know when I will realistically have time to play them. I also don't know whether Fallout 3 or New Vegas is the better experience in 2015. From what I remember, both of them have quite a bit of that huge, openworld RPG jank thank was really common for games of that time period. I might be able to play one of them before Fallout 4 is released but there is no way I will get them both in.

Fallout 3 is one of my all time favorite games (top 5 easily), even playing on a PS3 where it was quite buggy. I still played through it twice. Hearing New Vegas performed much worse, I've unfortunately had to keep my distance. I'm getting close to unloading a lot of my PS3 games, but I'll hold on to FO3.

On that recommendation it looks like Fallout 3 is the one to play. Apparently it has some problems running properly on Windows 7 and 8 while New Vegas runs properly on the newer versions of Windows. There are guides on Steam for downloading some additional files and making a few tweaks to make it work so it's doable.

Be sure to play the epilogue DLC Broken Steel, which really completes the story. Of the other four DLCs, Point Lookout offers the best side story and new map, playing more like an expansion pack.

Here's the anticipated Fallout 4 trailer. I'm excited! :)

Yeah me too. It's my most anticipated game by far. We actually had a little bit of a discussion about it in this thread.

I'm wondering if we should ask Scott or one of the other staff here to just combine the PC game news and console game news threads together and just have one gaming news thread. About 95% of the games brought up in both threads are available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. We just end up talking about the same games in different places the way it is now.

Amazon just listed a $400 Xbox One Console. It has a 1TB HDD and the new controller that has the built in headset port..

These consoles should have had 1TB from the start but at least they are both fixing that problem.

I see some people in the comments complaining that we paid $500 for half as much and asking for Xbox Live credit for being loyal customers since launch. That's the cost of being an early adopter though. I think everyone knew there would be price drops and hardware revisions for both consoles over time.

Looks like Capcom is living up to that promise of more remasters/rereleases (as opposed to original new content I suppose) with the announcing of the new Mega Man Legacy Collection, which is 6 Mega Man NES games for $14.99. Not bad considering this would have run you about $300 back in the day, but it also sort of stinks that it's just up-resed graphics. I would liked to see a completely reimagined/redrawn world, similar to what Capcom did with Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, but again, seeing as Capcom appears to be in no hurry to make another Mega Man game I guess this is a somewhat acceptable trade off.

Along with this, Capcom has released a trailer for the remastered Resident Evil 0.

The Xbox One is now $349 (I thought it HAD been for like 6 months but I guess now it's official) AND a new 1TB edition with an enhanced controller (with built in audio controls) has been announced. It costs $399 and for a limited time (read: will become permanent in a month) includes a copy of the Halo Master Chief Collection.

The bigger news from that article to me is that the Xbox One controller wireless dongle for PC is finally coming out. I have an extra Xbox One controller that is almost never used and I would love to shift it over to full time duties on my PC.

So far I've been sticking with my 360 controller because I don't want to go back to a wired controller in 2015. Even if I wanted to I'm not sure the USB cable would reach from my PC to the couch. At $24.99 that's probably a day one buy for me.

Edit: As for the new console, it's nice to see them charging $50 for that extra 500GB of storage. Most companies, especially game companies, tend to charge way more for bumps in storage capacity even though the drives aren't that expensive.
