In Huntsville, at least one unlucky gamer has returned his X-Box because of a glitch in the system. X-Box representatives say the numbers of complaints are relatively low when you're dealing with such a complex system.
But there's no way to know how many of the cherished games went straight to play and how many may be sitting under the Christmas tree wrapped up.
Gamers playing on the Best Buy display Friday were not phased by the problems, they said its to be expected. "It's still an X-Box 360," said Chris Tedder as he played the game, "the graphics are way better then the X-Box's graphics." Microsoft is taking steps to fix the problems. For now, they're handling the defects on a case-by-case basis.
"For some of them they're sending a replacement and for other's they're overnighting the game for repair and return," said Sales Manager Zach Ferrell.
If you do have problems with your X-Box 360, retailers are recommending you don't go to them for exchanges, because, they simply don't have any in stock. Best Buy received the biggest shipment of the games Tuesday; a whopping 50 systems. They will get one more before Christmas Day, but they're not sure when or how many will be in that shipment. It is expected to be less than the growing demand. Retailers said they don't even have time to stock the games in their stores before they're sold out.
