WTF is up with my 522?

I have had this unit 5+ months. The last 20 or so recordings I have done have all had Shittty audio quality probably with a skip every 90 seconds. I also get video which goes from color to black and white then completely loses audio 100%. I have seen 15+ software updates come down but what in the hell is Dish actually fixing. To me they are making things worse!!!
