Is it just me or is this the most underwhelming NFL Sunday of the season (at least so far?) First off there are a number of games not on in HD, and some of those games are just inexcusable. I mean.... Denver at Indianapolis: I find NO reason as to why this game is not in HD. This is the AFC game of the week (at 4 anyways) and we're stuck with SD. Thank god the Niners/Seahawks game is in HD, because if it wasn't I honestly would have called D* and demanded a credit for the 1 week of it not being in HD for both my HD 9.99 and the Superfan. Also it doesn't help that for the most part, the 1pm games aren't that great. Anyone else feel kinda cheated (even though no one is at fault) this Sunday, the 30th of September?

Not sure what is and is not in HD this week as I am out of town, but this more likely needs to be directed at the networks as opposed to DirecTV for anything that may not be in HD as DirecTV only retransmits what they get.

Denver and Indy comes on at 4:15pm on 721 in HD.

Now I have a beef with the NFL. They only showed the first Browns game in HD!! The last 3 were in SD.
Yeah I noticed that.. well noticed in the sense that I didn't get HD until week 2 and haven't seen a Browns game in HD yet..

here's something interesting....The Browns game today was not in HD yet somehow NBC's "Football Night in America" just showed CBS highlights IN HD! How's that possible? Was it available locally OTA locally in HD?

I noticed the same thing. WTF? As a devoted Browns fan I feel ripped off.

NFL films man their own camera's at the NFL games. This is a stipend that the NFL has with all the networks. CBS, FOX, ESPN, and NBC do not have their own crews there filming the games. Its all NFL owned. CBS only brodcasts all but one or two games a week in HD. Last year it was two, the year before three, the year before that four. The NFL told them by 2008 they have to be broadcasting all their games in HD. This is why the number has been dwindling.

Although NFL Films are the ones who are filming and shooting the games, the networks are the one's producing the live coverage.

The Browns game wasn't available in HD via OTA either. It sucks that CBS gets to broadcast all of their games, since they never show them in HD. They did the same thing last season.

If the game is not getting broadcasted in HD on the local HD in your area, but it is in others then it is a local problem. The Broncos-Colts game looked great in HD on Sunday Ticket channel 721.

Agreed. I was impressed that all those games were available in HD. 49ers/Seahawks looked the best in terms of PQ.

CBS handles all AFC games and FOX handles the NFC, unless they are playing one another, then I don't know for sure, maybe it goes by the home teams affiliate (AFC / NFC).

Yeah... nothing like watching your team lose in beautiful HD.. its like you're THERE to see them lose! :river

The road team determines what network the game is on afc road teams are on cbs and nfc teams are on on fox

Yeah im getting sick of it to. Pay all this money for ST/SUper Fan/HD and I get 1 game out of 4 in HD for the Browns!
I bet they be in HD next Sunday when they play in New England. Watch!
