World Series in 4K?

Has anyone heard if Directv and MLB productions intend on doing a 4K broadcast of the World Series? Given the fact they were able to do multiple games this year this would be one series whey would want to produce in 4K. Im surprised that this hasn't came up yet.

Doesn't look like it. Only guide data is a ND football game next weekend and BlizzCon after that the following week.

The MLB games (which were very well done BTW) were produced by MLB Network, with FOX having rights to the World Series I imagine it would have to be them producing it.
I wish it was, going to be an absolutely awesome week of baseball coming up.

It's really odd, DirecTV has the capacity but no compelling (live sports) content available. Kind of the opposite of the 2006-2008 HD race, when they had content but no capacity.

well maybe if the jays made it there may of been an rogers 4k for some of the games.

A few weeks ago, a production truck engineer friend indicated that a 4K had been booked for the series. Don't know who the client was, but it is supposed to be a side by side with HD and UHD positions.

Got my rig working with the GTX 960...Had success so far with 4k and will be waiting for a 4k World Series feed.
