I have had a wireless CCK, with 5 HR24s, and whole home for about 2 years. About 4 mths ago although we still had internet access we lost all media share functions. Long story, after restoring router/modem factory defaults, adding every device one by one, turning off firewall, and using Mezzmo media share software all was restored for about 2 days. I've revisited this all multiple times and keep getting the same result, "cannot access media". So I decided to move the wireless CCK, spoke with a case mgr and he said plugging it directly via Ethernet would work. I've done this, usual wireless set up just with Ethernet plugged in CCK. Same result, if I purge network add all devices it's up and running for a couple days. One oddity now, I've never noticed the CCK having the same IP address as the home CPU. Not having home network issues, but wondered if that was a problem. If not, I am plum outta ideas. Router/Modem is Qwest Q1000 with DSL. DHCP enabled. Have multiple other devices (wireless and wired) that have no problems streaming media from Mezzmo or Windows Media Player. And like I said, I can get it to work for a short while before rec'ing the error message, "cannot access media". Plus I'm not truly sold that I can plug the CCK via Ethernet, but it did work once. Any ideas or assistance is much appreciated.
