I'm looking for an audio device, audio input and output for my pc running linux. It is easy to find a wired device, but harder to find a wireless device. I have found a bluetooth combination that works after a fashion but the quality is poor and the bluetooth device, while it is recognized in pulseaudio, is not registered as a valid soundcard, so many applications don't work with it since the device is not addressable in the same way.

My ideal device would be a good quality headset which communicates wirelessly with a base station that plugs into the motherboard sound card (and therefore is recognized by the system at all times), or a USB base station that works in Linux.

Any suggestions?

Picked up a Logitech Clearchat Pro Wireless USB. Works well. Is recognized by Opensuse 11.2 in Yast and is configurable as a sound device. So far so good. Range about the same as the bluetooth headsets.
