Winegard Dish, Solution to My Problem?

Hi,

I just recently received a 622 upgrade from my 921. I previously had a 61.5 and 110/119 dish installed. The reception previously was fine.

Anyhow, I cannot seem to pick up the transponder 22 stations on the 61.5 (Home & Garden / National Geographic). The signal on the other transponders seems to hover short of 70 and the transponder 22 is around 45. The main reason is two trees that almost cannot be avoided. I trimmed them back yesterday with no impact on the signal. Generally, would a larger (76cm?) dish help in bringing in those pesky transponder 22 stations?

Not if the tree is blocking them. A bigger dish is not gonna help with that.

You don't give a location, would a dish pointed at 129 be possible in your location? The dish pointed at 61.5 could be pointed at 129 which is close to the 119 satellite location so you might have a clear line of sight where 61.5 has some tree problems. Of course in a couple months leaves will fall and signals should improve till spring.
