I'm testing Windows 8 Consumer Preview. The enter key for new line does not work when on satelliteguys postings. Works fine on other sites and with standard programs. Any ideas?

I'd suggest changing the Editor, likely just the vbulletin editor not happy with w8 IE?

Try pressing Shift and Enter and see if that works.

Other then that I have no idea. I am sure vBulletin will fix it before Windows 8 is officially released.

Nope; same problem with all three editors. No big deal. this is why they have betas

Hopefully Microsoft will fix IE before they release it. Life it too short to have to code specifically to IE.

There is plenty of code specific to the different browsers.

The difference with IE is the custom code changes with every major release and their feeble attempts at backwards compatibility typically don't work particularly well.

Probably so .... and [strike]the vB people[/strike] web developers call it "hacks to make broken browsers work right".
