My second GeoSatPro dish is on its way and I plan to point to to AMC4. I would like to pull in the C-band NBC channels on AMC4 as well.

Do you think I can pull them in if i buy a C AND KU-BAND SATELLITE LNBF and mount it on the 36" dish? I have read about minibuds, but I am curious if anyone has tried with a geosat 36".

I just checked Lyngsat, and you are are right Glen. I was looking at "the list" and it just showed them as "telemundo".

I figured it would be worth a shot since the dish farm is growing faster than the wife likes, lol.

I'm a little confused now. the list shows them on amc4 while lyngsat that them on AMC18. I am talking about NBC East west mountain and pacific.

There is a FTA mux on AMC 18 also. The DCII mux is on AMC 4.

Couple notes
-the NBC channels on AMC4 are gone. they have moved to AMC15 at 105W
-they have a 7/8 FEC so there is no way they would stay stable even if you locked them on a 36". There is very little room for error. I've used a 6 foot dish and had issues with them staying stable (even on AMC15 now)

DOH! That is what I needed to know. As of now I have all the other main networks (ABC, CBS, FOX) but the wife wants NBC too but NO BUD in our tiny backyard.

I wish there was a full time NBC on KU that wasnt 4:2:2 (so you need a PC Card or a 700 buck receiver) or showed all the programing, not just some (there are some feeds that show some programming, but not all)

i guess she will have to live with the bunny ears for NBC then. the picture is great, but she is spoiled cuz of the PVR.

THANKS for all the input guys.

Already told the wife it's a no go, so we will just have the 2 Ku dishes. One at AMC4 and the current one at 10r.

What is the best Tp to use to point to the AMC4 bird?
What about for 10r?

I think my 10R is fine as I have 51 channels right now, but you know, tweaking is always fun.
