Will the ATSC 3.0 survive the E-skips on VHF low band?

I am wondering ATSC 3.0 will do a better job surviving the skips path on VHF low band rf ch. 2 to 6 by using COFDEM instead of 8VSB modes?

That is big question for TV DXers!:hungry
 
IDK, but isn't COFDM (COFDEM?) used in DVB-T? (What the a great majority of rest of the world adopted for digital Television)

I expect that ATSC 3.0 will exact at least as much damage to the sport of DXing as DTV did and in the end, it will become practically impossible. With analog, we had our brains that would filter the video and audio noise but with digital, there's not enough forward error correcting you can do that will clean up a signal that depends on getting highly compressed binary data through.
