Will IR on TV2 in dual mode ever be enabled on dual tuner receivers?
Specifically the 942, but other dual tuners apply.
As a new feature, does anyone have inside info whether or not IR will ever happen on the TV2 so I can run in dual mode? It's been a few months since I last asked. I know there are a lot of installers who run whole house IR/A/V distribution systems that will not install the 942 because of this limitation. The universal programmable remotes are far superior to Dish's UHF remotes in my opinion, but they can duplicate the proprietary signal. I can be 150 feet away from the 942 and control it with IR, but it's not programmed to respond to IR commands when in dual mode on the TV2 output. Grrr!!!! Single mode, not problem.
As an alternative, is there a standalone IR to Dish UHF converter planned for Dish's protocol?
