A buddy of mine wanted to borrow a LNB to use to get 119 only using a Dish 322 receiver. I assumed it would work. He has it mounted on a dish 500 and all settings (el, skew, etc) are verified) The 119 port is connected to tuner#1. He has run the check switch and obviously he get the 1-38 and no switch installed. He is not getting and connection status in the install summary screen. Was I wrong to assume this will work? He made a commitment to provide access to ESPN at an oyster roast tomorrow. Any hope for this setup?

A Legacy twin has a switch built in so it will receive 119 &110. The 322 will work with the Legacy twin but both lines must be connected to the receiver and LNB. He will still need to aim and fine tune the dish to get a signal setting the elevation/skew and azimuth only get you heading in the right direction, he still needs to find a satellite signal it dosen't just pop in like a TV antenna.:):):)

Dual tuner receivers have to have both satellite ins connected, otherwise they will not function properly. You will get an Error 502. If you are using a signal location LNB, it has to be a Legacy Dual LNB to function with the 322. It will run 38 tests during the check switch because the switch (LNB in this case) is legacy. You will have to lock in the signal first. If you are using a Twin LNB or Quad LNB, you will be able to get 119 & 110.

Make sure your friend removes the DPP Seperator at the 322, as others said two lines need to be ran from the twin to the two ports where the DPP Seperator was connected (assuming it is/was)
