/Will a Pal DVD play on a region free player with a NTSC TV?

I have a region free DVD player and wanted to know if I order DVDs in PAL format if they will play well? Does the DVD player change the resolution for it to display properly on my NTSC TV, or would I need a PAL TV as well?

What is the model of the dvd player? If it is just a region free player it will not play PAL. It has to be combo PAL/NTSC player as well. If so it will play just fine on a NTSC tv.
