Will a Dish Network dish fit my DirecTv Mount?

Hello - I am thinking of switching to Dish and have a couple of questions.

Will DTv want me to send the entire dish and mount back to them?
If not will Dish's dish fit the Dtv Mount pole?

I have the Dtv 5LB mounted to a back deck and it has the curved pole with the 2 support braces screwed to my deck band.

They will NOT want the dish back. But they might want the lNB back, if you can access it safely. As for the dish fitting on the DTV mast, short answer is no. An adapter that we call a "quick pipe adapter" could be used to make it fit but I don't really like them.

The D* mast is 2" OD the DISH mast is 1 5/8" a little smaller.

Thanks to all for the replies. I was hoping not to hav to drill any more holes in the deck.

I guess I'll see...I plan on calling D-v this weekend to discuss cancellation. I hate to say it but I have the same old gripes - never anything worth watching, tired of a $100 a month bill and I hate seeing all the "new member" offers when I'm a 9 year subscriber and offered zip.

I guess I'm considering taking advantage of the 2 year intro. offers to save some money as I can't believe one sat company is any better than the other?
