Will a Dish 1000 work for 97w Sat?

My friend has a Dish 1000 dish, he installed a linear LNB. He tried for about 4 hours and could not get a signal. Will this dish not work? Or is he doing something wrong LOL. I tested his receiver on my setup, and it is configured correctly.

Severely undersized reflector size! Try using a 36"/90cm dish for G19.

Should be able to catch a few of the transponders.

Ok, I will let him know that he needs to buy a bigger dish, and he wasted a lot of time with that thing. hahaha.
