Will 6.0 Remote work with a 722K?

I have an older remote control model 6.0 and I can't get it to work with my 722K. Do any of you know if it can work with it? Thanks.

I got my older 722 remote control( 5.3 IR) to work with the 722k ,but I am having trouble getting the new 21.0 remote control that comes with the 722k to stay working with it. Half the time it will not work in the morning and other times it will turn the receiver on but then stop working. I have to reprogram the sat code to get it to work again. I have both of my 21.0 remote controls linked to work with the 722k , so I know that it isn't it.
