Has anyone heard of or purchased a WiFi device that uses ones home network to enable watching TV say on a WiFi connected PC in another room? All I can find is these 2.4 Ghz analog tx/rcvrs which don't work very well. Thanks.

No hardware on the market yet that supports streaming TV with the necessary QoS. If you have any other traffic on the network, you'll have loads of problems.

You'll want to watch for 802.11n specific hardware or wait for the ultra-wideband stuff next year(802.15a).
