First - I am located in Hawaii. Have been a DISH subscriber in Oregon for many years as well as in Hawaii for over a decade. I have a 722k w/ ATT 250 w/ multi sport, NHL Center Ice, HBO, SHO, STARZ packages.
Second - DISH has been good to me to help make up for the fact that we only get SD feeds for our RSN's as well as all Center Ice games that you on the mainland get in HD and DISH advertises we should also get in HD.
Ok, my question is - why are the FOX sports SD feeds such poor video quality compared to feeds we might get from Canadian feeds, MSG, ROOT, Comcast Sports ?
I won't begin to talk about the arcane rules that force us to see REALLY poor SD FOX feeds on our RSN's for Anaheim and San Jose hockey games when they are in HD on NHL or sometimes NBCSN. Likewise, tonight's Utah/Oregon men's basketball game is only available here on RSN in SD whereas the logo that comes up is for FOX SP1 in HD. FOX decided that our FOXSP1 is Xavier/st. john's instead.
But the main question is why is FOX sports SD quality so poor?
