Why are there two Hi-Def HBOs and Showtimes? I assume it doesn't take double the bandwith to have the same channel in two diff places. I am just curious
Why are there 2 HBO-HDs and 2 Showtime HDs?

They are mapped into the 2nd locations for convenience, one in the "HD area" and one in the "premium area", but they do not use any extra bandwidth.
