Whole Home DVR Monthly Charge ?

I have one Hopper in the Living Room sending signal to Joey in the kitchen,
and one Hopper on the second floor bedroom, feeding a Joey in the guest bedroom.

How can there be a Whole Home DVR charge when the hopper's don't communicate,
and the Joey in the down stairs kitchen can't communicate with the joey or the Hopper on
the second floor ? That doesn't sound like a whole home DVR to me ?

You can pair Joey's to any Hopper you want to. Hopper to Hopper will come later with a software upgrade.

joeys can communicate with other hoppers. Just go into the menu on the joey and switch to the other hopper (as discussed at this link).

as for the hoppers not seeing each other.... Dish has been putting this disclaimer on some of their public information:

*At product launch, Hoppers will not be able to communicate with each other but this functionality is an upcoming feature.

One Hopper alone carries the fee...Joey or not. WHY do you think two hoppers (linked or not) would make any difference?

No good reason for a Joey to communicate with another Joey.
