Who sells the cable for FTA (RG-6 + actuator)

I'm about to put together a tracking FTA system using a 1.8 m Prodelin dish mounted on a AJAX 180 H2H actuator. I've not been able to find anyone selling the cable that has the RG-6 w/ actuator cable to be able to move the system. Does anyone know of sellers of this type cable? Or if not that at least the actuator cable and (can combine it w/RG-6 that I have)?

It will be interesting to see how this goes together, as I did exactly the same thing in February. You don't really need a combined coax/actuator cable. Many people here have used heavy-duty sprinkler cable with success and so have I. I bought 7-lead 16 gauge cable and doubled up the motor leads. The sensor leads are not shielded this way, unlike the official ribbon cable, but this doesn't seem to cause any issues. If you want the real thing (double RG-6, actuator and corotor all in one ribbon), Rick's Satellite normally will cut it to length for your needs.

Thanks for the info. Not planning on using the double 6 coax cable. I may have to resort to buying some mike cable for the count cable then using 12 gauge speaker wire w/ an RG6 bundled together. I did this kind of thing when C-band was pretty new and ribbon cable hadn't come out. I only need the single RG6 since I will be using a deseq switch for the feed.

OK. I didn't know you wanted exactly what you're looking for. The dual RG-6 ribbon costs a bit more but it'll work for you plus you'll have a spare RG-6 just in case something goes wrong in the dead of winter.

In USA Skyvision should have in Canada rps satellite should have, not sure if they sell actuator cable on it's own they will m,ost probably have the ribbon cable.

Check with former C band installers in your area, they might have a piece or two left over and reasonbly priced.

A lot of pizza shops, whether charlie's pizza or direct, were former C band installers, so check with them too.

I bought a chunk almost 400' in length for $100 from an installer. The next piece was under 300' from an TV/Sat dealer auction for $5!!!

I used to be a C/Ku dealer in the "good old days". I did mostly commercial but some home.
