I currently have the Welcome Package and Locals. I'm considering moving up to the Dish America package (formerly Turbo HD Bronze). Can anyone tell me what they are paying now for that package and what channels you have. I can't find any listing on the website and the CSR via chat as not that helpful.

Thank you.

I just want to make sure that you know the following when considering your change:

• Welcome Packs No Longer Available – Effective February 1, 2010 – The $9.99/mo. Welcome Pack without Locals, the $14.99/mo. Welcome Pack with Locals, the $9.99/mo. DishLATINO Welcome Pack without locals, and the $14.99/mo. DishLATINO Welcome Pack with Locals will no longer be available to new customers or to existing customers who do not already subscribe to them. Existing customers who already subscribe to these programming packages may continue to receive them unless they change their programming or deactivate (and subsequently reactivate) their account.

Thanks for the concern. I did notice that posting a couple weeks back. If/when I make this change it would be for good, for the most part, or until I cancel Dish.

My Turbo Bronze including locals is $34.95. HD channels are the same as America's Top 120 except that you don't receive the following:

Fox News HD, Nick HD, VH1 HD, and MTV HD

Thanks! I was figuring somewhere right around $35 but wasn't sure if that included locals. Wasn't there a rumor about the price of the Turbo packages going down a dollar or two as of Feb. 1? Maybe that was just wishful thinking.

Thanks again.

With this being said, then the channels would be:
A&E HD 118
ABC Family HD 180
Cartoon Network (E) HD 176
CMT HD 166
CNBC HD 208
CNN HD 200
Comedy Central HD 107
Discovery Channel HD 182
Disney Channel (E) HD 172
ESPN HD 140
ESPN 2 HD 144
ESPNEWS HD 142
Food Network HD 110
HD Theater 364
HDNet 362
HGTV HD 112
History HD 120
Lifetime HD 108
Palladia HD 369
Spike TV HD 168
Syfy HD 122
TBS HD 139
TLC HD 183
TNT HD 138
Travel Channel HD 215
USA HD 105
Weather Channel HD 214

I am not sure if that is 100% accurate since we do not have one of the Dish America/Turbo HD packages.

Can anyone confirm Spike? It's kind of odd that MTV and VH1 aren't in the package, but Spike is (all are Viacom channels). I'd sure like the Fox channels to just pop up in The Turbo/Americas package this month. I'd go to Silver from Bronze if I could get FX and Speed...

There were 7 Viacoms. Viacom allowed 3 into Turbo packages but the others were part of another Viacom package with other SD-only channels and were only allowed in the Full packages. So Nick, VH1, and MTV were not allowed in the all-HD Turbo packages while Spike, CMT, and Comedy were. I'm not sure about the 7th, BET.

If you are wanting to order Turbo packages if you don't have them already, they are no longer available. I have Turbo Gold and E* told me if I change it I can't have it back.

I wonder if that has something to do with the name change. The former Turbo HD packages that are now called Dish America are avialable to order, at lease they were on 2/2/10. I was given the option by a CSR to change to the lowest package when I inquired about the least expensive of the all HD packages.

They lie. I just changed to it this week. I switched after February 1st too... Even if they tell you no, you can try another CSR or tell them about your mythical "friend" who just switched. That should get them to do it.
