which side is the front

I have a radio shack outdoor antenna 80" Boom Length, 32-Element Antenna - RadioShack.com
and I have no idea which side is the front. The stations are to the north so looking at this antenna which side would face north.
The horizontal arrow looking side pointing to the north. Or the open end?
Again my stations are to the north. There is also a arrow shape vertically that "opens" to the other direction.

The "front" is the same direction that the "V" shaped antenna points.

ok so mine is backwards and i am assuming that is why i get random drops of signal.

a lot of people get them backwards. They think the pointed end is the front.
