Samsung. The Insignia doesn't appear to have a digital (DVI or HDMI) input. If the "HD Flag" system ever comes into effect, you won't be able to get HD from Cable or DBS w/ a component connection.

neutron, i know i sometimes gave you a hard time about sony, but i have a confession to make. i bought their new 55incher.

I purchased this set last December for the bedroom. It does the job (nice that it has analog/digital 8-VSB and QAM tuners), has a variety of inputs/outputs and has been trouble free. However, it's heavy for such a small set (around 85lbs. which is more than my 50" Sony) and the PQ is ok (nothing eye-popping). I paid $375 for the set, which is all I was willing to pay - it was worth it. If I had to do it all over again, I would have purchased a larger set and ripped out of the custom entertainment center/dresser/bookshelves the previous owner has build.

Which set did you purchase?

I just got the new samsung 26" model the TXR and so far it's been working pretty good. Needs to be tweaked out of the box, but so does any set if you want it to perform the best
