E just got most of these. Be patient, perhaps we'll see something this Thusday. if not, shortly thereafter.
To be accurate, E* delivers 12 of the 26 HBO/Cinemax HD offerings. Also WGN - HD, Hallmark Movie channel, Lifetime, Lifetime Movies, all the HBO - HD, and the rest of the Cinemax. E* has all of these.
If D*is the HD leader than where the h_ll is The Travel Channel HD? E* has it D* doesn't. Let's go D* turn it on on the 14th. If they don't turn it on I will be very dissapointment.
Its been stated SEVERAL times that more stuff is coming, they just have to get everything finalized. Why dont they do this 6 mo's before the sat is launched? Who knows, but Im sure there is a great reason.
How quickly everyone forgets last fall and awesome D* did.
I have to ask. If Direct is trying to finalize details in the contracts to carry different networks. How does this differ than how Charlie does things at Dish? People get tired of Charlie saying that he is trying to save us all money and he charges subs the same as other providers. Is Direct "trying to save us money" too??
I do agree and still say we are in for a nice surprise for Thursday. Liberty was not in charge that last time around. Maybe they negotiate a different way.
Could be.
Its just funny, last year everyone was full of excitement about a new sat and what may be coming. Now people just bitch when they dont get their way each week. I think last years launch and the recent E* ads have made people turn into spoiled children.
Disappointment about Thu is a matter of perspective. If D* were adding the above listed channels, everyone would be bitching about RSN's and still bitching about HBO. We've already forgotten the mpeg 2 conversion, which was a very good thing. Buncha old nags.
