I see references to PBS on AMC3 having AC-3. Do I just scan it and look under radio? What are the call letters? Any more AC-3 I should know about? THANKS

AC3 means you need a S/PDIF output on your receiver which goes to the corresponding input on your audio system. Usually this is an optical port. Not all FTA receivers have them.

I have the Coolsat 4000 pro, which has the digital coax (SPDIF). My question is, if I hook it up to my new Dolby Digital receiver, what can I get? How many channels? Where are they?

I think there is a goofy way of getting it to work on the 4000. It wasnt a standard feature.

PBS on AMC3 and a couple Spanish channels on G10 are the main ones that need AC-3

The Tube Music Network on AMC-3(C) broadcasts in Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, the G4 Video Game TV channel on AMC-10 is also in DD. I’ve noticed that sometimes when the FTA receiver says AC3, it is in fact stereo PCM audio and not Dolby Digital...or so my audio amp tells me.
