I am looking for Canadian newsfeeds. Primarily CBC, CTV and Global. Assume Nimiq and Anik first places to start. Lyngsat identifes some feeds but does not identify the carrier on these birds. Anybody have specifics regarding the subject?
Thanks in advance for the information.

I am not aware of any free Canadian channels on the Ku band. I don't know about C band, but I haven't seen a free Canadian channel listed there either.
Otherwise there are plenty of those channels you want on the paid ExpressVu (Nimiq sats) and StarChoice (Anik sats) services.

Maybe I should clarify specifically what I am looking for. I am looking for the raw satellite newsfeeds and backhauls from the Canadian networks not a free commercial network news station such as ABC News or CNN. I can get CBS feeds on IA6 and AMC-9 for NBC. Any info re the subject as originally posted would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.

Over the last couple years I have seen very little in the way of backhauls. A couple winters ago I caught a local backhaul of a weatherman doing a remote around the holidays for a station in Montreal. It was at either 85w or 87w.

Not news but during spring training, I have seen backhauls to Toronto stations at 85w.

There are ku band CBC/RadioCanada feeds (5 channels) on Anik F1 107.3W, but they are in DVB 4:2:2 format so they may not work for you (I use a skystar2 satellite card which can, with the proper codec, decode this format in software). They're pretty active during the day

AMC 9 and G10 ku air feeds to RDS in French every so often in analog.
CTV newsfeeds occasionally air on AMC 9 Ku analog.
CBC newsfeeds and sportsfeeds occasionally air on AMC 9 ku analog
