when do new sats for E* launch?

when can we expect more HD with E* as I guess new sats need to be up to get more HD. So when do they launch?

There is a rumor that dish will add some HD channels before the end of the year but it could just be that the CSRs got confused. Sci-fi and USA HD are up there but not transmitting so it could be those. But don't hold your breath till the new sat goes up, and even then.

Yeah, sorry about that. I guess I was just in a bad mood. I just get so tired of seeing the same question popping up in my RSS reader every day. It just keeps getting asked over, and over.

Too bad this site don't have a "pre-search before posting" feature. For example, when you submit a new item at digg.com, it searches what you are posing to see if anyone else has already posted the same thing, or something similar to it. The user then has to click a button to confirm that the story they are posting is not a duplicate....because if it is a duplicate, it gets deleted right away!

At least with the "pre-searching" method, it is a quick way to save embarrassment over posting the same thing many times, and getting it deleted. I don't know hoe many times I found something cool on the internet, tired to post it on digg, then realized that someone 3 moths posted the same thing and made it to the font page.

Again, sorry about that, but maybe an new option should be added to these forums (if that is even an option)

You will need to go down to GE/Americom and click on AMC 14 to see the info.

Probably because the FCC has not yet approved the filings of this sat. as of now. Once approved Dish would like for it to go in March. That is if there are no delays.

The reasons that this question gets asked over and over again are:

1) It is important for all of us who want more HD
2) The information is not STATIC, and it's not easy to find. Things change. Dish thought it would have had two sats up by now. As of today, it's really anyone's guess when either one will launch. I think March is way optimistic.

So give us all a break.

At this point, there are two satellites bought and paid for sittin in U-stor-it garages somewhere that ain't goin' nowhere anytime soon.

My prediction is that you won't see a signal from either one until August or September. I don't think there is a firm date for either one yet, that I can find.

If anyone knows any different, not would be the time to speak up and maybe we could put definitive updated information on a closed sticky thread. Maybe with the name of the satellite, where it's going, who's launching it and whether there is a date or not.
