I just spent quite a bit of time talking to a Dish supervisor about upgrading my 942 to a VIP622 and towards the end I was given some disturbing news. She claimed that local HD in Chicago was not available at this time. Didn't the Charlie Chat show Chicago as one of the launch areas for HD locals?
She claims she double checked her information but I'm asking here for the real facts!
If Chicago locals aren't available for a while then I might as well wait for April and the $200 rebate. If it turns out that they are available now or at least soon, then I'll upgrade. It's sad that I can't trust Dish for information about their own products.
