I had to tell him. While it was fun watching it, I couldn't let him suffer!
Ok...How long did you allow this to go on before you split a seam laughing so hard you could not catch your breath?I have to laugh at this one. I am getting installed with a mover connection. I'm getting an international world direct with swim 5. The installer is doing the 95 portion and can't get a
signal. Gee I wonder why! It happens to the best of us! View attachment 97539

It went on for about 10 min before I said something. He thought his meter was screwed up. I was like isn't that LNB backwards. At first he was like no. I was like ok, but how does the signal reflect off of the dish if the LNB faces outwards and their is no sub reflector to reflect the signal back to the lnb on it? Then he realized it was backwards and was like oh SH*T. I walked away laughing. Apparently he didn't realize when I said that I do this for a living, that I really do this for a living, except I am on the transmit end! LOL
Is that mounting plate hanging off the bottom of the eave?
Actually it is.. You just cant see it in the picture. It's lagged underneath the eve. Also we have had 50 mph wind today (Gusts) and everything is a ok!That was my thought too, it did not look like it would survive a wind load. It is not in a tripod configuration to brace against wind load. I would say it was a very poor installation method.
