Last week my motor started having problems keeping the east/west limits in memory. Yesterday I called a friend of mine that is a former BUD installer from the 80s and 90s. He came over to check it out and we decided that the motor was on it's last leg (after 15 years) and the swivel bolt on the end of the arm was froze in place and that didn't help the motor's function. When I tried to free the swivel I managed to snap it off. I said "I guess I'll go in and order a new one." He asked me what brand the arm and motor was, when I said SKYVISION he told me to come to the truck with him. He had four different brands of arms and motors in the bed. He grabbed one that was a SKYVISION, exactly like the my old one and said "this should do it." We proceded to replace the old arm and motor and now everything is fine. When I ask him what I owed him, he said "I hate it when you ask me that." He told me that an old guy didn't want his system anymore and if he came and removed it, he could have it. This arm and motor are practically brand new and he said since he got it for free there would be no charge. I told him I couldn't accept that and he reminded that I have given him three receivers (a 922 and Satworks 3618 and 3688) over the last five years. I forced him to take $25.00 for his time.
