Hi, is there somewhere on the net where I can find out which transponders I should be seeing from my specific city? (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) .

Thanks,

Rob

I think you should be able to see 101, 110 and 119 but some stuff is spot beamed on those sats so depending on your address you may not get some locals and sport channels. You will get the sats at 99 and 103 but those are very spotbeamed so you have to be within the nearest market by a hundred miles or so.

Yes, I know I should get those "satellites" and I do. I was just wondering which transponders on those Sats that I should be seeing up here (as I know that the spots are out of reach for the most part.) Anyone? Anyone???

On 101, the spot beams are 4, 12, 18, 20, 26, and 28.
You should receive all others.
On 119, the spot beams are 23, 25, 29, and 31.
You should get the ohers assigned to DirecTV (22, 24, 26-28, 30, & 32).
On 110 you get 8, 10, and 12.
Some spot beams will have a strong signal for your locale.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. Any idea for the 99 (I only get #1) and the 103 (I can only see #1,3, and 5 and all the signal strengths are 23,40, and 15 respectively). Thanks.
