What LNB to use

I have a Traxis 1500 FTA receiver, from which I am attempting to get the satellite Intelsat 5. I can't get the LNB to function. I am using a Pansat universal FTA LNB. I am not getting any quality signal. My friend bought a Traxis 2500 last year, and he is using his old samsung gus-dku562 LNB and it works fine. Please advise.

Sounds to this newbie you need to set your Traxis for a Universial LNB

LO = 10600 for universal and 10750 for linear

I'm a noob but I'm about 90% sure that's your problem.

Sounds like the LNB is a Universal....make sure the LNB LO frequency is set to Universal (9750/10600)
