what is each satellite for?

hi so the main important sats are 101-103 and 99 right? what is each one for and what are the other 2? and why are their multiple 99c 99cb and 103 ect?

101 is where virually all of the national sd channels are located. There are many local sd channels, also. 99c and 103ca and 103cb carry the national hd channels, and 99s and 103s carry the local hd channels. For now there is only one national satellite at 99, but there are two at 103.

Directv also has 110 and 119.

110 does not have anything on it right now, 119 has Spanish programs and a few public interest channels, and local sd channels.

99, 101, 103. If your sd channels are on 119, you will need to be able to receive from there, too. When locals come from 119, it's a requirement to be able to get them, at least if Directv does the install. You might get a local installer to take care of you if necessary. What is your zip code?
