What channels will Directv use for HD channels.

Not sure, im also wondering when the guides will update? Bofore the channels go live. Or as they go live?

They will use the same channel numbers as their SD counterparts.

I heard from DIRECTV that the first 103b channel that will be active will be 362 - The Weather Channel. So keep checking 362

They will use the same channel numbers as their SD counterparts.

So if you have an HD receiver the guide should have the HD logo, but for my SD receiver it won't, correct?

Can they do the same for ESPN and ESPN 2 and save those channels for new HD channels?

I think 2 AM is when you will see them. I could be wrong but thats when I remember the time on previous channel launches. I am not staying up BTW.

I think sometimes you may have to reset your receiver too.Just something to keep in mind.
