Can I use Channel Master with a Fortec Merc II? It is not listed as a supported receiver. Any other program to use? I see Fortec has a channel editor on their website. TIA!

It looks like there is a link between Channel Master and F M 2 via the Satcodx format, but only from CM to FM2. I was able to export my Coolsat config from CM in satcodx format and it imported into FM2 bin file just fine. I did not actually try it in the Merc2 however.

I do that with one of the choices from the menu. Since I have to run the generator to look, I am trying to remember, but it seems to me one choice is edit channels. I go through and delete first (ok button to mark red dot) and scroll with up and down buttons, then "save edit" I think blue button, which deletes them. Exit menu and come back in and choose "move" ok to select (if I remember) UP or DOWN or SIDE to SIDE to choose where to put it then OK again to put it there - If I remember you have to save each move, but maybe not. There may be an easier way, but when the old dog learns a trick - let me enjoy it!

OK, I got the firmware upgraded - 97w now seems 100% good - no more locking up! But, I can't get the Fortec Channel Editor to work...the loader in that only has 5 Com ports, and I had to set mine to com port 6 to get the firmware to load. So, I guess I will just delete by hand. I wish I could orgainize the channels easier like I can on my Lifetime Classic NA. With the merc ii, when I am in the channel delete menue, it does not show me the channel I am on, so I don't know if it is an active channel or a scrambled channel. THe Lifetime NA shows me the channel everytime I select a new on.

I assume your using a usb to serial adapter ? goto device manager and right click the com port and choose properties, you should be able to assign it a different com port number.
